Season 1 has clearly been orchestrated by Bugs. This type of leadership is invaluable for quick decisions in times such as Seasonal Wars. We have captured 4 cities and 7 strongholds, our limit on this server. We have captured ~20 provinces to secure our position on the map. We have paced ~1.25 provinces/day. That is some quick thinking and strong strategy!

This raises the point of leadership styles. I will propose to leadership a “dictator” position that will be the authoritative command for the season for strat. Throwing back to Roman leader Lucius Cinncinatus. In 458 BC, the Romans faced a military crisis. They had an elected position of “dictator” (not as how we view it today). It was a 6 month term. The position was made famous by Cinncinatus. He was elected to the position, and when they summoned him, he was tilling his field. He dropped his plow and picked up his sword. Crushing the enemy in just 15 days, he famously resigned office and returned to his fields. A mark of a virtuous Republican, Cinncinatus understood that in times of peace, a democratic republic is the only fair and legitimate rule; in times of war, authoritarian command is the only effective rule to prevail against their enemy. Because I despise the term “dictator”, the position will be called “Cinncinatus”, or “Cintus” for short. I’ll bring this to vote in Alliance chat this week. For now, I’ll assume the vote passes.

We are still maintaining a posture of troop conservation with MG and Zombie Siege. It is time to consider increasing the throttle a bit on both fronts as we are dominating both easily at current levels.

We gained Bunny and Donkey and we lost both. We have also gained a few new, higher ranking members. We welcome them to get in AC!

We have stopped running B Team for Desert Storm. We were getting 5-10% participation.

We are still not in NAP 7. We are now neck-n-neck with LGRT.

Our opponent was server 1805, Raging Hooligans (GAnG). We won 13:0.

Summary

There has been a dramatic power shift on our server in the 3-6 positions. WRZS has moved up two spots in power and LGRT dropped dramatically, at one time becoming # 8. They have since overtaken us (again dropping us just below the threshold).

We have been decreasing in participation on Alliance events and in elections. From our height, we have seen a ~33% decrease. I do believe that a lot of this spawns from holiday/beginning year rollover. The halls of LW Anonymous has been filling up.

Finally, I must say, I am still pretty much hands off on Operations. The leadership has assumed responsibilities and executed quite well! The Alliance has elected great leadership and we are running smoothly. We are two weeks away from our final set of elections going into R5. Before electing R5, all candidates proposed, I think we should have them to promise to uphold our Democratic Republic and make a short address to the Alliance in email.
