Summary

We have come to a crossroads in week 7. We have lost 3 Versus Challenges in a row and we have been dominated on the battlefield. We have tried several tactics. The one thing we know is that one whale can change the course of VS daily rankings and one whale can wipe our entire alliance on the battlefield. These two factors are going to be our focus for the next three weeks.

R4 leadership is constantly monitoring and intervening with NAP violations and alliance members that may affect our server politics. This week, we need to bring in focus and incorporate what the R5 has been doing and begin transitioning those processes to R4 leadership.

Last week’s recruitment drive has paused or otherwise in a lull. We need to find 15 active players.

Tactical

We are drastically overwhelmed by other alliances of similar power. It is my conjecture that this is attributed to big money spending ($100s of dollars a day). Looking at our opponents whales versus our own spending, this seems to fit the bill.

The only way I see forward to combat this is to sandbag every other week. This strategy must be generally adopted by the alliance body. Secondly, we must also focus on getting the first 6 Versus chests and shoot for the first 8. What should we hoard each week?

We must start upgrading HQs much faster. With that said, we should not:

❌ SHOULD NOT Tech Research anything that costs resources. Focus on VS points research only - VS tree, Truck tree (NOT special forces)
✅ SHOULD Tech Research Truck tree. Adds ~2mill in resources per truck (10mill per day) for "Basic Goods" level 5. Get this researched.
❌ SHOULD NOT upgrade buildings not essential to upgrading HQ.

Versus

Our opponent was server 1796, <Did not capture>(PUSO). They were ranked # 7 on that server. We lost every day this week in points. It is noteworthy that we were consistency dominating top 10. However, their leader, LeADeR53, completely dominated the VS points, scoring as high as 20 million a day– a far leap above the 7.2 million requirement for all chests.

Buster Day

Our rival leader, LeADeR53, was a level 27 with an overwhelming first squad. Their attack destroyed our top 4 players in every reinforcement. This also means a rally of our top players would also fail in every engagement. With his first squad off the wall, our top players, including our top player “D”, could not defeat them. This is certainly a concern going forward. We should never face down an alliance that has such a whale. We lost 4 million in power and we had Warzone Duel the next day. That was a very poor tactical decision on my part.

Summary

Active alliance members are approximately 40% of the body, given the limited amount of data this week. According to the voting results, we have seen a considerable 36% increase in participation.

We have seen the nominations decrease by 56%. Our most recent arrival to the alliance, “H”, won by a sweeping margin of 90% from his closest opponent. This is a testament to his careful calculations of the game mechanics, his quip humor and chat engagement, his cool-headed decision making process, and his humility.

Our alliance power increased 19.5%. Compared to last weeks 16.7%, our gamma (rate of change in delta, which is change) is trending up. We need to increase our gamma and maintain our positive delta of change. It is evident that we are being outpaced by alliances of similar strength in our first squad power.

Focus Next Week

We will continue to practice our collective leadership model to provide consistency and accuracy on events and handling issues.

We will continue to engage the alliance in daily emails, how tos, and strategy outlines. We will work on distributing R4/R5 workload so that there is some redundancy and consistency amongst the leadership. We may see a rotation of daily tasks to the newly elected R4. This would need to be passed by vote.

We need to work on gathering data from various events. We also need to work on tracking NAP7 offenders.

We need to finalize the R4 voting schedule.

We need to strike into our SOP on how positions are assigned.

We need to decide on a strategy that at least gives us a 1 in 2 or even a 1 in 3 chance of VS victory.

We need to change our HQ and upgrade strategy to quickly obtain lvl 27 HQs.
