Week 9: From the Flames

Overview

Last week, we saw 11 members leave the alliance, leaving us a population of 86 members. We are now up to 93 members and we have recovered 3 of those members. Each player will have a particular play style and we have found a homogeneous core alliance body.

We held 8 emergency elections to quickly field our ranks. Our R4 body have clear heads and energy. We are working to rotate each R4 into different roles so we all have a feel of the various tasks involved in alliance leadership. We are seeing healthy communication from the R4s to the body on “how tos”, game plans, and general alliance strategy.

We have had a number of incidents that occurred with KoCa, our neighboring alliance. Relations were tense at times. However, we are on a good footing with them at the end of the day.

I erred in my judgement on handling incidents with Ba.. S.. and Tap… Both members I kicked in haste to patch alliance-to-alliance relations. Both of these I felt justified. In the end, that was an excuse lack in judgement. This is an area I need to work to improve on. I will be leaning on more counsel and implementing a cooldown to after reset to give members ample time to respond. Both incidents occurred with no immediate threat and therefore could have waited.

Tactical

We are still in “base upgrade” mode for the next 2-4 weeks as we still need level 27 bases. We now have 2 level 27 bases. However, we need 1-3 more. We will not be participating in Enemy Buster and other events that costs troops and resources. We will, however, be participating in Warzone duel which will cost dearly in resources.

We are holding a Voice Chat session this Saturday for Warzone Duel. It should be an intense battle and should be a fun session.

Versus

Our opponent was server 1797, Cedar Covenant (2ikx). We won every day this week in points. We have a truce with this alliance and are working to secure an alliance and maybe more. Our Buster Day was fairly uneventful.

Summary

It is difficult to assess active alliance members. I did not collect the stats required this week and we have had sweeping changes.

Personally, I want to welcome back those members who left due to our leadership breakdown. At the end of the day, we make the pace. People want to come here to enjoy the game and if we violate the “fun” of the game, we should expect that. Thank you guys/gals for coming home. Thank you to those R4s stepping up and making it enjoyable. And thank you alliance for being awesome SCAMmers!
